I always hated people telling me that it gets easier as that didn't help the now. But guess what, it does. At 3 months the girls started sleeping through the night - 12hrs straight. They had been sleeping 7.5hrs 7pm-2.30am with a call out in which we would find their wraps up around their necks and over their faces. We would feed them and then when they woke for the day at 6/7am they were only having about 60mls. Looking back it's so obvious they were ready to sleep through. It happened as soon as we put them in Grobag's - love 'em!!! 2 months on and they are still sleeping through the night. I was concerned as this cut them down to just 4 bottles at such a young age but my Nurse and Paed. didn't mind as long as they continued to put on weight.
I am also starting to get some unbroken sleep now. We've had 5 months of me waking up screaming ever half an hour "there's a baby in the bed, there's a baby in the bed!" as I rip off all the blankets. Sometimes we both jump up looking for the girls and wonder were the hell they have gone. We peek in the nursery and find them fast asleep. They must have put themselves back to bed as we sure as hell didn't remember doing it.
A few weeks ago the girls hips were reviewed and *L* is now brace free during the day. Her legs are like spaghetti. *A* is still in hers fulltime. Our next review is in a month in which we hope *L* will be out of hers completely and *A* nights only. Apparently they catch up to their peers within a few months. I can't wait to see them rolling around.
We trialled them off the reflux meds but they started screaming in pain again especially when placed on their backs. Brought back memories.
Almost 6 months - where has the time gone?!
My digital camera broke and my mobile won't let me transfer photos for some reason but I promise I will post some as soon as I can.

I'm so glad they are doing better!
Sleeping 12 hours at three month? Fabo! (even if you weren't... I did the same thing)
And I am glad to hear the amount of time L is in her brace is decreasing. I hope the same for A next month.
Hang in there:)
One of my twins slept through early.
Only one. The other took five months and a bit. Obviously not helpful in the sleep stakes :)
Glad to hear it's getting easier, because isn't it much nicer when you get sleep and can enjoy them a bit. Sounds horrid, but true.

Great to hear from you Imy. And so glad that L's hips are improving so quickly. How fabulous it must be to have them sleeping through.
I hope things keep getting better and better for you and your girls!
Congrats on the sleep. My guys are 3 and I am still waiting for it! LOL
Great to hear an update Imy, so glad that things are getting easier for you and the girls. 12 hours consistently is fantastic, I've never had that out of Jake, I'm still only getting 10 hours a night!
Hopefully the next appointment will bring more good news about their hips. Can't wait to see the updated photos xo
Great sleepers you have there :)
Had a little giggle to myself about the waking up screaming and searching for babies in the bed, not so much at you, but at the memory of myself thinking Miss Special K was falling off the bed one night and I nearly fell off the bed grabbing her and pulling her back up until I realised that I actually had the poor dog around the middle and he was most put out for waking him up and pushing him out of bed :o
Fingers crossed for the next brace appt xxx
Congratulations! It does get better as soon as you can sleep again. I swear that's the part that is the worst. I can understand now how sleep deprivation is a form of torture.
Geohde said it best. It really is easier to enjoy them when you're getting some sleep, too.
Hooray for sleeping more (all of you)! My boys didn't start sleeping through the night until...um...way too recently. Trip still wakes up once in a while. Ugh!
Yay for L having less time in the brace and I hope A follows shortly! (Sorry about the reflux)
